Core Artist Statement

My work is built through restraint, permanence, and tension. I work primarily in charcoal using a strict no-erasing process where every mark remains visible and becomes part of the final structure. Nothing is hidden, corrected, or removed.

The drawings explore survival, discipline, faith, instability, and the psychological weight of endurance. I am drawn to moments where beauty and damage coexist — where figures appear held together rather than resolved.

In more recent works, I explore quieter moments of memory, innocence, and connection - the brief scenes that reveal what people carry, protect, and remember.

Much of the work exists inside the framework of Sacred Restraint and Threshold Work, examining what remains after chaos, pressure, memory, and time leave their marks. The process itself becomes part of the meaning: Every line carried forward; Every fracture incorporated into the whole.
