Artist Bio

Kerry Miller is a self-taught charcoal artist working in themes of survival, restraint, permanence, and emotional endurance. Using a disciplined no-erasing process, every mark remains visible within the final composition, allowing instability, correction, tension, and fracture to become part of the artwork itself.

A veteran and artist in recovery, Miller’s work is deeply influenced by discipline, faith, memory, and the psychological weight of lived experience. His drawings often exist in unresolved spaces — figures emerging from darkness, structures barely holding together, and moments suspended between collapse and survival.

Working primarily in charcoal, Miller combines raw texture with controlled restraint to create pieces that feel both fragile and enduring. His evolving body of work operates within the frameworks of Sacred Restraint and Threshold Work, where beauty and chaos are not opposites, but coexist as part of the same structure.
